Workshops
Spearheaded incorporation of printmaking and papermaking into Awakenings’ core programming
Fostered new community partnerships with Embarc Chicago, City Colleges of Chicago, Thresholds, and Youth Guidance. Resulting in providing relief print and papermaking workshops for over 350 students on a yearly basis
Facilitated “PULP-POURRI: Virtual Papermaking Workshop” in partnership with the Design Museum of Chicago to express healing through a creative tactile experience and provide alternative papermaking methods accessible from home
Cohort Cycles 1-4
Assisted in the development and execution of Awakenings’ cohort program, an nine-week curriculum based, subsidized program centered on survivor community and exploring healing from sexual trauma through art workshops
Coordinated artwork installation and showcases of the work created by survivors in the cohort that included presentations from each participant
